Thangka Silk Heritage – A Legacy Woven in Love and Tradition
Thangka Silk Heritage is more than a saree brand — it is a living tribute to two people who shaped my roots.
Started by my grandfather, whose dream of building a handloom legacy was cut short too soon, Thangka is my way of continuing the journey he once began. This brand carries the warmth and strength of my grandmother Thangam, after whom it is lovingly named.
While Thangka is also a traditional silk painting from Nepal, for us, it represents something deeply personal — the art of weaving stories, emotions, and heritage into every drape.
We handpick our collections directly from skilled weavers across India — from luxurious pure silk handloom sarees with real gold zari to budget-friendly silks in tested zari. Our range spans the timeless beauty of Kanchi cottons, elegant organzas, graceful Chanderis, and diverse silk traditions from multiple Indian states — each piece reflecting the culture and craftsmanship of its origin.
At Thangka, we believe a saree is not just a garment. It’s an heirloom. A symbol of artistry, heritage, and pride — an asset in your wardrobe that holds meaning beyond fashion.
We’re here to carry forward a dream and preserve the beauty of Indian weaving traditions — one thread at a time.
